Great expectations: Are you ready for shared parental leave?

Regulations about Shared Parental Leave (SPL) came into force in December 2014 and are applicable for all babies born on or after 5 April 2015. The introduction of the regulations means that parents can share up to 50 weeks of leave in the year after the baby is born with the baby’s father, mother’s husband, mother’s civil partner or partner.
