In the Lap of the Law Makers….

Why is the Law Changing?

One of the purposes of the Licensing Act 2003 was to bring in a more liberal, European style approach, without undue censorship. This has led to the number of lap dancing clubs doubling in recent years, leaving unhappy local residents and businesses feeling aggrieved that their local council is “powerless” to refuse Premises Licences to lap dancing clubs.

This is all set to change on 6th April 2010, when all such clubs must apply for new licences and will face much tougher regulation, with the public being given greater powers to object.

What do you Think?

Are tougher laws for lap dancing clubs a good thing, or a bad thing?
