Maria Guida joined the firm as a partner in September 2009, adding further strength and depth to the commercial property team. Maria handles a diverse range of commercial property work, with a particular interest in licensed property. |
Maria deals with matters ranging from the sale and acquisition of hotels, pubs and clubs to secured lending on property in the healthcare sector. She acts for banks, landlords, tenants, investors and developers. She is also experienced in the complex area of leasehold enfranchisement.
In addition, Maria specialises in Licensing, handling the whole range of applications under the Licensing Act 2003. She takes a proactive and no nonsense approach to all transactions, which is highly valued by her clients.
In her spare time, one of Maria’s favourite pastimes is playing the tenor saxophone.

Jennie Kreser joined the firm as a partner this month, to head up our Pension Law Practice. She specialises in occupational pension schemes, advising sponsoring employers or trustees of pension arrangements in this highly complex and important field of law. |
Jennie has advised large multi-employer schemes as well as smaller single-employer arrangements. She has wide experience of both Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit schemes and the difficulties to which they can lead.
Jennie qualified in 1986, originally as a criminal prosecutor. Poacher turned gamekeeper, she now sits as a Magistrate in her local justice area and is an Approved Chairman and Deputy Chair of the Bench Training and Development Committee. Jennie has worked in both industry and the Public Sector (as Legal Director of the Occupational Pensions Regulatory Authority - the predecessor of the current Pension Regulator).
When her busy practice allows, Jennie likes to indulge her passion for travelling.
